uprivermama Posted June 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2016 We will be in Cabo in July and we thought about bringing a pop up sun shelter to use on the beach. As long as we're considerate of others' space and views, would this be considered OK or will we be breaking rules (written or unwritten ;))

CWcruisers Posted June 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Are you also planning to bring your own beverages and snacks? Seems like a lot of effort when you can see by the pictures, the many restaurants/bars that line the beach provide plenty of shade. You may have to move further down than where you circled. The locals beach is beyond Tabascos which is still a bit of a hike. There your pop up shelter would be no problem. If that is what you want to do, my advice would be to take a land taxi there. Ask them to take you to Cascades, that would be the closest walk to the locals beach.

Well, there are 5 of us, and that can certainly add up over the course of a day, so we most likely would bring some water and only purchase limited drinks and snacks anyway. It's not a major concern or priority for us. We're much more concerned with having some space, shade, and being a little closer to the water than the beach bars seem to put their chairs/umbrellas. Thank you for the information, and suggestions.
