Not knowing what your plans are (you want to explore the theme parks? do beach stuff before the cruise or Orlando?, etc.), my initial thought is to rent a vehicle - two one way rentals.

If you can tell us more about your plans we can offer applicable advice. We can also offer hotel ideas but need to know if you want Orlando or beach or both.

There are many transport options other than rental cars. Those require a looong post here, so to avoid repetition please read here: http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/transportation/

Orlando airport, Disney, Universal and Port Canaveral hotel information here:

Nothing much before the cruise so the beach may be a nice option before but Disney or Universal after the cruise. Thought about renting a car but figured a shuttle would be better so we would not be out a lot of money in parking fees unless the car rental would be a cheaper route.

Thank you so much for the links. That gives a lot of options to choose from. Now to decide which area to stay in.

You can do one-way rentals from PC/Cocoa Beach to WDW; return the car if you do not need it while enjoying the parks - lots of car rentals on property or nearby. One way rental is likely more cost effective than a shuttle, which usually only takes you to the MCO airport - you'd need private transport to go from PC to WDW.

Our family of 6 just used Executive vip limo from Port Canaveral to

Downtown Disney. Private caravan was $130 for all of us.

Great service. Supplied child seats and a store stop at Babies "R" Us

at no extra charge.
