No more luggage express

So I just found out Carnival no longer offers luggage express. Our flight is not until 3 pm so we were gonna hang out downtown, eat and then take light rail to airport. Now that we will have our luggage, that's probably not a good idea. Now what to do. Didn't really want to hang out in airport for hours.

yes, both piers have luggage storage until 3:30pm.

Carnival uses pier 91 which is a few miles north of downtown. I'd suggest taking a cab/uber to pier 66 and leaving your luggage there ..... saves you back tracking and an extra cab ride when you pick up the luggage. But pier 66 is only open if there's a ship in port, so check the schedule for your date.

From pier 66, walk across the street to the Marriott. To the right of the hotel (as you face it), there's an elevator that will take you up the hill. You'll be near Western Ave/Lenora, 2-3 blocks from the Pike Place Market.

The Market is unbearably packed by 11am. From the Market walk up to Westlake center at Pine and 4th. This is where you would catch the Light Rail to the airport AND its where you catch the monorail to the Space Needle, about a 3 minute ride.

Hope this helps!

p.s. once you've used the elevator and walked to Westlake you can determine if you want to repeat the trip with luggage and use light rail to the airport.

Carnival has a Tues schedule, and I didn't see any ships at Pier 66 a few weeks ago on a Tuesday.
