Nicosia

What are the key things to see and do in Nicosia. We are going up from Limassol, and want to know recommendations and what to avoid, not waste time on .

Have you been on this cruise yet? If not what time of year are you going?Nicosia is extremely hot and humid from mid July to the end of August.

How long do you have in port - some Limassol stops arrive at 8am and leave at 2pm. That doesn't leave much time.

 

And more to the point, why on earth the angry face in your thread title? You don't have to visit Nicosia if you don't want to, so what were your reasons for choosing it?

Sorry the angry face is a mistake!!

 

We are in Limassol for 9 hours and have been in to Limassol before, also up to Omodos in the wine growing region ,so thought we would book into Regent's trip to Nicosia, Europe's last divided capital. We have free time here and could find little about best sites and wanted advice on what to see as a must see, and what to miss. We are there in late July so know it will be hot, and therefore wish to pace ourselves.

 

We are looking forward to it, sorry again if original post did not give that impression. Hoping people can help.
