Aft cabin on Navigation deck

Hi,

 

As you can see we mostly cruise X and LOVE the S-ships because of its modern interior. But nothing can beat the friendliness and charm of the Indonesion crew of HAL, so with the new Koningsdam - looking fresh and modern - we will give it another try. Very much looking forward to going back to Tamarind too :)

 

I would love to book an aft Verandah cabin but the only ones available are on Deck 8. I know, under the Lido, but don't think that will be much of a problem for us. Coming from Europe we will be awake bright and early anyway :rolleyes:

 

But I have no idea if those balconies catch some sun. Is there a large overhang? Does anyone have a good picture? I've been searching the forums but with no luck (I'm assuming the balconies of K will look like those on the other ships).

It looks to me like there's enough overhang for some privacy but not so much that all sun would be blocked. Several pics are available here:

Looks like it will not have noise and will have a deep balcony.
