Mimaindi Posted June 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I'm cruising in two weeks and was hoping for more information. I found that there are fitness classes but there was no information about what ships have certain classes and how you go about signing up for them. Does anyone know how you sign up for them? Can you purchase a package so you don't have to keep paying for classes? What classes are specifically on the Carnival Legend? I saw that only select ships have the Tai Chi, but I have always wanted to try that but never have. If anyone can answer any of the questions, I'll be quite thankful! -Kelly
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2016 Fitness classes can vary by ship depending on the instructors aboard. Typically most will have spin classes, yoga/morning stretch or pilates or both, aerobics classes of some sort, maybe a boot camp type class. There will be the "diet/nutrition" classes hawking the supplementary junk your body doesn't need but you'll lose weigh in your wallet and thus feel lighter. No Zumba, no barre, have not seen any tai chi classes, but could be specific to cruise or group request. In the fitness Center, when you board, will be a listing of classes and times for your cruise. You may sign up then. They will charge your S&S card

curious621 Posted June 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2016 I just got off the Splendor and they had yoga and indoor cycling for $12 each. I didn't do those but instead did the free Sunrise Stretch (basically yoga, one other person attended) and Fab Abs (only person attending). They were OK. The seminars on flat stomachs, detox, faster metabolism etc. promote detox systems for a heavy price and the footprint analysis promotes expensive insoles. I mostly just used the treadmill and jogging track.
