Vista - which deck?

Looking to book the Vista, but not really sure which deck to stay on. Want a balcony for sure. Would like to be on a floor that is higher up, but do not need to be on the lido deck. Any recommendations - or better yet any rooms to avoid? Any floors to avoid? Thanks!

We had a balcony on 8 last month and loved the location. 3 rooms forward of the back and very quiet.

I usually try to keep a floor of cabins below me and above to avoid extra noise that may come from theatres, bars and lido deck ect.

We were midship on deck 8 in June and loved it, very quiet floor with very little foot traffic. We're on deck 8 aft next June again on the Vista. We like it there because we like to take the stairs and it's a easy to go where we need to go from deck 8. The only time it's a bit of a hike is when returning to the ship on deck 1 in ports, I started getting tired around deck 6.
