russandcheryl Posted July 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2016 We are booking 5 cabins and both my husband and I have casino rate ... So we can get 2 cabins at the lower rate. If we book my husband / grand daughter in one cabin and then myself and daughter in another ... How do we change at check in to have cards done for hubby and I together etc... Do we have to leave it as booked ? If we swap keys then ID won't match?? Anyone done this ?
firemanbobswife Posted July 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2016 Just go to GS upon boarding. They won't change the rates because you're already onboard. I have done this myself.

Booking you and your hubby in separate cabins will allow both cabins to be booked under the casino rate. Once onboard, just go to Guest Services and ask for an extra key card for each cabin. It's not a problem at all and won't change your sail and sign card. Those will remain how you set them up online before your cruise. You will be given 2 more cards that only work as cabin keys. Also keep in mind when booking a casino rate, you can book early saver (which comes with many more restrictions), and then price match the early saver booking to the casino rate. Doing this allows you to take advantage of any price drops that occur after final payment date (which you can't get under just the casino rate). Just be sure you can live with the early saver rules which are more restrictive. Edited July 28, 2016 by winddawn
firemanbobswife Posted July 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2016 If you want to have your S&S accounts changed over as well and not just get extra keys they can do that too. There were 3 of us cruising and only 2 had the Casino Rate. We booked those two in separate cabins (but they were going to actually stay in the same one). Once onboard we all went to GS and had them changed so that I had the cabin to myself and they were together. Just so happened that I was the one that didn't have a Casino Rate on that cruise because I already had something else booked. I didn't want to be responsible for the other person's charges so they totally moved them to the other cabin including their folio.
russandcheryl Posted July 28, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted July 28, 2016 What about the photo attached to the sign n sail card? Will I have to carry 2 cards? One to get off / on the ship and one for the room key I am really in ? Or do they take new photos when they give you new card? Thanks for all the info ... It is a substantial saving if we can do this 👍
firemanbobswife Posted July 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2016 They will transfer everything over to new cards including the picture. It will be as if that was your original card.
