John Bull Posted September 20, 2018 #26 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I’m a part time wheelchair user and have been to Gibraltar before, but this time I have my niece with us, so thought this time we would just get the cable car up to the top to see the apes Sent from my iPhone using Forums There are (about a dozen?) inside steps up to the bottom cablecar station. The midway station involves steps (a dozen or more?) on a metal gantry - no fun carrying a wheelchair. I don't recall whether there are steps at the top station. IIRC it's all metalled path/road the couple of hundred yards from top station down to apes den. As a part-time wheelchair user I doubt you'll have a problem but I suggest you skip the mid station. Hopefully you'll get better-qualified advice from others. Have a great time in Gib. JB :)
sarar Posted September 20, 2018 #27 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Thanks John. Do you think it would be better to get a taxi? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
John Bull Posted September 20, 2018 #28 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Thanks John. Do you think it would be better to get a taxi? Sent from my iPhone using Forums I do. Others don't. Horses for courses. Life would be so much easier if there weren't choices :D Mebbe ask as a fresh specific question about taxi/van tour vs cablecar, in the hope of getting different opinions? And mebbe (OK, the mods might move it back onto this forum) ask it on the "ask a cruise question" forum - it gets a bigger audience. JB :)
