Thoughts on one night at Miami Airport Marriott

The prices in January are quite high for a pre cruise night. The Marriott's price with discount is around $200 for the night. Anyone stay there pre cruise? Thoughts?

There are several Marriott brand properties in the MIA airport area - which one? :confused:

 

In general, if you are arriving late and just want dinner and a bed you'll be fine. If a shuttle to POM the next morning is not included, a taxi from MIA airport hotels to the port will run about $30 on the meter, or you should be able to Uber for about $20

I have stayed at the Courtyard next door. They are linked together thru the pool area. The Courtyard has a nice sports bar and the Marriot has an upper scale restaurant. Area is nice but nothing to walk to. We didn't mind as we had everything we needed for 1 night. The two hotels have shuttles to the port for a fee. I think ours was $10.00pp
