Deciding on Muir Woods Excursion

We are considering doing the Muir Woods excursion with RCCL. I can't tell if they take us right from the ship and return us there also. Does anyone have any experience with this? I also would love feedback on trip. We live in NY and are suurounded by huge white pine trees. Will we still be in awe as most people say they are when they visit Muir Woods?

I would suggest the tour for no other reason than crowds are becoming a major issue. RCI will guarantee your admission to the park hassle free. No other way to get that hassle free admission.
