Ultimate dining?

If the UDP is offered, is it still $29/pp? Is the sushi on 5 included (reflection) - if so, what limits? What / when are lunches offered?

Hoping someone has done this recently...

We did UDP on Infinity in 2015 when she still had SS United States and Bistro on 5 and enjoyed it very much. We have a TA on Equinox coming up in October and are looking for answers to the same questions. Can't find much recent information by Google or searching the forum.

 

Never sailed Equinox before, so looking for information on what restaurants are present on that ship and how the UDP applies to Sushi on 5, if at all.

Equinox has Murano, Tuscan Grill, Silk Harvest and the sushi place.

I can't seem to find it now, but I remember seeing another thread about Ultimate Dining that did include Sushi on 5, but with a 30 dollar per person limit.

We did it in August on the Reflection. Yes $29 per person but Sushi on 5 wasn't included. The Porch was open for lunch every day though and on sea days and an afternoon port call the other specialities opened for lunch. Well worth the cost - on our cruise it was much less than upgrading to Aqua to use Blu.

We were on Equinox in August and previously we have had the ultimate dining package we were the first cruise after the conversion of Bistro on 5 to Sushi, when we checked in we went straight to the desk to book our package but we were told we could only go to Silk Harvest, Murano's and Tuscan Grille. We decided not to go ahead and just went with two dinner packages as we had hoped to try the Sushi and we were also considering dining out on our overnight port. We also asked the food and beverage manager who was standing outside sushi on 5 and he confirmed that what we had been told downstairs was correct it was not included. We then received a telephone call whilst we were eating in Silk Harvest a couple of says later to say that we could go to Sushi on 5 after all it would be included. It was still 29$. Not much help but I am not sure if they even know!

Last week pre-booked 5-dinner pkg on Reflection for Apr-1. 4-dinner pkg was $123 while 5 dinner pkg was $125. NO BRAINER to pick the $125 which added Sushi-5 to the 4 other specialty restaurants. The $125 was quoted as 38% pkg discount.

 

We plan to swap into UDP at boarding so we get +2 more nights, and lunches at the Porch seafood bar. Have had UDP twice before - late in cruise on sea day it was a 'challenge' to do both the specialty lunch AND dinner - UURRRPP! :D
