Dining on the Magic

Happy to have YTD on the Magic in September! We've always done early dining, this will be our first experience with YTD.

We are a family of 4 (3 adults, 1 child), and I'd like to know if anyone suggests requesting a specific seating area in the dining room. Are window seats available? We'll likely dine no later than 6:30 or 7 so the sun should be up and I'd love to be able to look out at the sunset if we're still dining at that time.

Anyone with favorite servers on the Magic?

Any other tips for YTD?

We just had YTD on Magic. Your dining room will be deck 3 forward. We took whatever table was available, so I can't answer about requesting a section. There one observation everyone in our group commented on was that the windows are obstructed from the top to halfway down by tender. Didn't bother us, but was weird. No real view

We always do YTD, although this will be the first time on Magic. We have found when we go, they try to sit us at the same table if possible (same with the RCL cruise we did last year) You "may" be able to request a table but not till you are on board since it is YTD. Maybe contact your Carnival Cruise Agent and ask? They may not be able to answer but give you suggestions.
