Beach Options in Roatan

It's safe to book your own excursions.

There are a number of vendors who do island tours including beach time, Vicotor Bodden and Rony's Torus have multiple reviews and threads on this board.

If you want just a beach and transportation, you can contact Bananarama or Beachers, both are on West Bay and have day packages at reasonable levels that include transportation.

There are other places to go as well. The difficulty is getting transportation back. Taxis don't roam the resorts looking for fares so you have to arrange and trust the driver to return.

Just grab a cab to West Bay Beach. You will be among your fellow passengers who booked thru the ship. (as noted by a profusion of NCL beach towels)

If you can fill a taxi (4 or more) you will pay $20-25pp and the driver will stay until you are ready to return to the ship.

Several venues on the beach will provide a lounge chair (and shade if you are early enough) for $10. In addition, some have really nice, reasonable beachside restaurants for cold beverages and food.
