Last Alaska of season 2016

We have just returned from the last Alaska cruise Vancouver to San Fransisco, which was a repositioning cruise.

The weather was great. Having been to Alsaka twice before, 2003 and 2008, this was the warmest and driest weather we have had. This was a full cruise, no children were on board.

Last year on Mariner we were slightly disappointed with service in CR and bars. This year we both noted an improvement. Service was great, and food good to very good. We were spoiled from start to finish, and lovely to be remembered by so many staff again. We had a Penthouse suite on deck 11 and we're delighted.

The ports were all good and we enjoyed our included and one fee paying excursion. To add none of the ports were busy by any means, and the most cruise ships we saw were 3, which didn't overwhelm the ports by any manner of means. There was a small roll call group and we met for drinks and a couple of us enjoyed a meal together, it was so nice to meet and put faces to you all.

We also booked for next year while onboard. Our TA already has all the paperwork through and she had the documents processed ready here on our return last night.
