Our MSC cruise leaves out of Genoa next Saturday.. Yay!

We are flying in the day before and have gotten us an Air BnB room for the night. Not the most prestigious place but it will do for the night and we're adventurous!

We expect to be settled into our room by 6pm and it will be our 10th anniversary LOL.. we plan on skipping the day perse' till we're on the ship the next day to celebrate!

So what shall we do for the evening? anything interesting to take in for the evening? Great place to eat? music?

Thats a google map of where we are staying...

Also... getting to the ship the next day, does anyone know the best method? Or can tell us exactly where to go even? lol

we're happy getting the bus and stuff but is the terminal walk able? I know some port areas are just not appropriate by foot... We wont have a ton of luggage, just a backpack each and one bag that rolls or is carried easily.

When we were there on a port day we walked along the waterfront from the cruise port to just south of your location.

The first obstacle is to get under the overhead roadway, which you can do at the crosswalk at Via della Fontane. Once on the otherside of the overhead roadway there's a sidewalk along the port fence you can follow. On google maps this road is called Belvedere Vittorio Pertusio.

If you continue along with google maps the road name changes to Via Marino Boccanegra.

At the point where the street name changes to Via Raffaele Rubattino you turn left, towards the water, and follow the road to Via de Cesare Imperiale. Turn right and continue to the cruise port.

The issue with this route is that you arrive to the cruise port at the lower level and you need to be at the upper level. I simply can't remember how we resolved this but I know we did.
