Star Princess - Oceanview Room Question

Has anyone stayed in the oceanview view rooms on Emerald deck - mid ship or aft? When we look at the deck plans there doesn't appear to be anything in front of the windows. however some websites list them as partially obstructed???

Is Plaza deck better for the oceanview?

Thanks for your help.

We've been on the Star on Plaza deck ocean view and on the Diamond on Emerald deck with an obstructed, both mid ship. You can take your chances on the obstructed and might get lucky. We had the top of a tender at the very bottom of our window, so no big deal.

I have never had a problem with noise in any cabin I've been in other than kids running down the halls. We've been above and below the casino on different ships and even that wasn't an issue. I personally really like the cabins on Plaza and Emerald decks as it's more near the action. Only times we really have to take an elevator would be to go to a buffet, pool or spa. These cabins are near the dining rooms, theaters and also a great location when getting on and off the ship.

The only thing I would tell you to be aware of is if there is a walking deck right above your cabin. Can't remember what ship we were on, think it might have been the Sea Princess, but we had that above our cabin. Every morning we woke up to people running above us. That was rather annoying.
