in port - but you decide to stay on ship - what's there to do?

It's like a day at sea only without all the people around. I like to:

  • Read
  • Play games or movie on iPad
  • Catch up on email. Sometimes we're close enough to get LTE without getting off the ship
  • Play trivia and have a chance to win since there are fewer people.
  • Eat at the buffet without all the stress.
  • Explore the ship and take pictures of the ship without people in the shots.
  • I don't use pool much so no big deal there.
  • Talk to some of the crew that stay on board. They are not as busy when a lot of people aren't around.
  • Make better use of beverage package.
  • Write postcards.
  • Play card games with others who stayed behind.
  • Take a nap so you can stay up later that night and go to Quest.
  • Walk through the Promenade without having to weave through shopping kiosks.
  • Spa is cheaper so if there's anything you wanted to try...
  • Save a bunch of $$$.

Mostly just decompress. Most of the time we get off the ship even at ports where we've been before, but then get back on rather than doing excursions and treat having the ship as type of excursion.
