Question about Dijon

I am taking a Wine cruise with Avalon at the end of the month. According to our paperwork, the TVG takes us from Paris to Dijon. To those who have taken this cruise before, is there time in Dijon for sightseeing and/or shopping? I would love to bring back a mustard pot if at all possible. It is not clear to me how long we have there.

Please be aware that the TGV is a newly constructed dedicated high speed rail line system. Only in a few cities does it utilize the Central train line rails. If memory serves me, the TGV station in Dijon, like in many smaller cities in France, is located well away from the city center and all shopping. The only thing out there is primarily car rental kiosks. You will find the same in Avignon, if that is where you embark.

Genuine Dijon mustard is available in all French supermarkets.

Thank you both for your replies. A bit disappointing as I had hoped we would have some time in Dijon but at least I will be able to get mustard in other places.

You will find several varieties of Moutarde de Dijon. :)
