skrapngal Posted October 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2016 I'm getting conflicting information about whether 3 people (1 a sun worshipper not needing clamshell) can share the loungers for 2. What is your experience? Is it worth upgrading to the beachbed?

What is your experience? Is it worth upgrading to the beachbed? A little confused. You are paying for the clamshell. 2 loungers fit inside. You can get as many loungers as you want. They are free. Beach beds to not provide any shade if you need that. I don't think I would waste $195 on one.

The beach beds on Coco Cay do provide shade - they are covered and also have curtains tied to the corners that you can un-do. They also come with two regular loungers if you want to sit in the sun. Transportation and 4 liters of water are included. We just did this a couple of weeks ago and it was worth every penny - the cost at the time was $150, I don't think it has changed. They allow you to have up to 6 people at that one price but you could probably only have about 4 in the shade comfortably at any one time. It is Labadee that does not have the thatched roof. It just has the drapes.
