macdon9876 Posted October 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2016 We just booked a southern itinerary aboard Adventure next July, our third cruise and second with Royal. It will be a getaway cruise for us - we're very excited! Last year when we sailed on Indy, one of our favourite places was the Olive or Twist lounge on Deck 14. We really enjoyed the space and its ambiance - they usually had a live cover band playing, and it was lively without being crazy. I've read that the equivalent space on Adventure (Blue Moon) will be turned into a disco with a DJ after its dry dock. It seems that this is common on Voyager-class ships as they've each gone through their refits. Is there any place on Adventure similar to Indy's Olive or Twist, with a live cover band with a dance floor, but also places to sit and chat? Thanks for any information! Goodtime Cruizin Posted October 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2016 Just got offf Adventure and there was a nightly 3 piece band in the 'Lobby' bar, Deck 4. They played a nice mix of 60 thru 80's cover tunes. It wasn't overly crowded or rowdy. We never saw anything in the pub on this cruise.
macdon9876 Posted October 14, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted October 14, 2016 Thanks for the replies. I didn't think to look at a Compass, although it seems that looking at the Compass of a different Voyager-class ship would give a better indication of what Adventure might offer post dry dock.
