waterproof camera suggestions

If you are not going to use any photo editing software , Nikon AW 130 with a floaty strap is fine for above and below water point for point and shoot photos and video. Easy to transfer pics wirelessly to an iPad from the Nikon

Many shots you may see are photo shopped with additional editing software. You need a Mac or PCand that adds effort (and costs if you donot have the latest and greatest computer and software.)

Many cameras today already provide built in basic software to adjust photos similar to what iPads do

Then consider how you want to save and share photos. In the cloud is fine is others can see your resukts. Plenty of servuces out there to print photos or book(lets), on coffee mugs etc. all thes best photos are better when you figure out hiw to share your disciveries.

Good luck!

I strongly recommend an Olympus. I had an Olympus 830 which I took on many snorkel trips an never had a leak. Unlike Fuji, Panasonic, and others, it has double seals on the compartments. Mine finally crapped out after some significant abuse (took it to Burning Man), and the TG830 is no longer available. I am now looking at the T4, but am leaning toward the TG870 which is about $100 cheaper, has most of the features, and has a flip viewfinder.

Did you end up getting the 870? If so, how do you like it? I'm REALLY thinking of getting one but keep reading about issues with bad clicking type sounds during video playback. I went to Best Buy to test one out and I did hear that sound, but I'm wondering if it's just in a few bad cameras or if this is in ALL of those?

Nikon AW-130, ...... My Nikon does a fantastic job both in and out of the water. Pictures are sharp and I really like the results.

I also have the Nikon AW 130 (and other cameras). The quality blows me away, an absolutely incredible camera.
