Explorer Promenade Rm 6259

Has anyone had this room, is all you see when you look out to the Promenade is the red awning over the Cafe??

Don't know bout Explorer but we had a promenade room on Adventure and loved it. Worst thing about the room was the fact that I didn't have any "real" light. So......I kept the TV on with the camera on the outside so I knew when the sun was shining and when it wasn't. I think you'll enjoy your room.

also-- be warned that when changing the people across the hall can see directly into your cabin...so when doing the nasty--keep the curtains closed.

 

I see your cruise is comingup-- did you book this cabin as a guarantee?

No I didnt book guarantee just picked the room, at the time I booked it was the only Promenade available. Guess I will find out how it is in 23 days

We are sailing on Mariner in April and have adjoining cabins 6601 and 6603 and are wondering about the noise and light from the Promenade. As best I can tell we will be over the champagne bar. Does anybody have any info. on how much noise you can hear from these rooms? Since we are only one floor above promenade I am a bit concerned.

the only time you should her noise is during the parades. other then that-- the cabin is almost sound proof.

Great. We are looking forward to having a "window" on an inside cabin, but was worried about the noise factor. Thanks for the info.
