We will be in port from 8-5, we definitely will hop on to a flight. For the flight, how far in advance do you need to be at airport? Is it easy to get a taxi from the port to airport and back from airport to port? And I can't decide if I want to do CC or Ambergris Caye. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The newly upgraded Belize City Municipal airstrip is a 10 minute drive from the cruise terminal. Taxis will be waiting on both ends. The cost of the taxi should be no more than 10-15 us. You should make reservations in advance. You need to check in for flights 15-20 minutes before the flights.

San Pedro is much larger. For a first time I would visit Cay Caulker.

In the same boat (so to speak). Arriving at 8 and leaving at 5. I am definitely headed to Ambergris, as I lived there 20 years ago. What flight over should I book and what flight back? Also need to reserve a golf cart in San Pedro, as my 83 yr. old Mother wants to do this with me. Any info. appreciated.
