Can you get a good upsell price by initiating the call yourself? Or, do the low cost upgrades only come from the cruise line?

I've not read of people typically being able to call to get an upgrade offer like other cruise lines allow.

To the OP, do you remember what showed up on your Caller ID?

Sorry I dont. I know it was an 800 number. When I called it back it was just the main people answering but they looked at my account and told me who was trying to call me.

People who are getting these upgrades, did you book "guarantee" type staterooms? Is that how it works?

 

I was not booked on a guarantee. Just booked normal.
