Walking distance in Freeport

Is there anything to do within walking distance of the pier in Freeport? We only want to get off the ship for a couple of hours and walk around.

Freeport is an industrial area and the port area is small where you can walk around . other than that not much close to the port. A restaurant on the water but that about it ,

Reading a lot of mixed things about Freeport. Our ship only shows an 8am-3pm dock time, so I am not sure what we have time for. If there isn't much to do withing walking distance of the ship is there time to go elsewhere? I am assuming if they are offering excursions through the cruise line they allot for the time the ship will be there and getting you back right?

Although not much near port plenty of buses ( mini ) to take you to lucaya and back for reasonable price. This is worthwhile as beach is in lucaya and lucaya marketplace is full of shops . The casino is across the street.

Is there anything to do here? I want to walk out of the port. Can go to supermarket? See lighthouse?
