ZN1300 Posted January 5, 2017 #104 Share Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) A little waterfall by a rest stop/souvenir shop. If you look the middle of the picture you will see the remnants of the old dangerous road. Edited January 5, 2017 by ZN1300

easyboy Posted January 6, 2017 #118 Share Posted January 6, 2017 As you can see there is quite a difference. TIP: If you should have the fortune of cruising into Malta, get a starboard room. This gives you the best view of the old 'island fortress' city. The port view is ok but the old city view is wonderful. Grateful for this tip! Sonora5 Posted March 25, 2017 Author #120 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Sea Days After we sailed away from Madeira we were looking forward to eight relaxing sea days. We had signed up for the Thermal Suites and some special dinners. We decided to buy the biggest internet package. That cost $250 for maybe 1000 minutes? Can't quite remember, but it was almost exactly enough for 8 consecutive sea days. Our first full sea day we had signed up for the Librije Dinner in the Pinnacle Grill. It was good but not great. Not nearly as good as the Master Chef's Dinner. We dined with two cruising friends and enjoyed the night. The next morning we found that they had started deep discounting things in the onboard shops, particularly items of clothing with European themes. We did a little shopping. If you are going to do a TA cruise wait to shop for these sorts of things, there are some bargains to be had. I can tell from our bar charges that we did trivia a couple of times that day, and I think we ate at the buffet. Again, the buffet was a pleasant surprise. Better food than the usual ship buffet, and very clean.
