Don, believe it or not, "The Morning After" won the Academy Award for Best Song that year. I wonder who they got to play the angry Reverend role that Gene Hackman ate up the scenery with.

How about "An Affair to Remember"?

 

Chuck, the original with Cary Grant or the recent one with Warren Beatty?

 

I vote for the original...the ending is such a tear jerker...

I agree with Karyn, although I never saw the remake.

Warren Beatty might be handsome, but in my opinion, doesn't

come close to Cary Grant. Talk about class, with a CAPITAL C:)

Now I want to go rent "An Affair To Remember" just to see it again...Deborah Kerr was so perfect in her role. I even remember the music...just beautiful...

I watch anything and everything that has either a cruiseship or anything on the Travel Channel with Hawaii! With all the ships they've profiled, I wish they would get to do something on Celebrity!

 

I remember there was something on this topic a while back. Now if anybody has noticed my first cruise in my sig, they'll see the Maxim Gorky. This is a Russian cruise ship and their first foray into cruising. If anyone saw a movie from the early 70's called Juggernaut starring Richard Harris and Omar Sharif, who I think was the ship's captain, it was filmed entirely aboard the ship in between the time it was known as the Hamburg and later being renamed the Maxim Gorky. Only reason why I think so is that the funnel when I sailed on it had a lighter hammer and sickle. (Remember, this was still communist Soviet Union.) The funnel in the movie did not.

 

Oh and if anyone saw Love Actually that had Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, the Gorky was in port and in the background during one of the scenes.
