Post cruise info needed

We will be on the re-positioning cruise from Port Liberty, New Jersey to Galveston, TX in October of 2017. Trying to figure out the hows of getting to NJ from upstate NY and return from Galveston. Plan to fly Houston Hobby to Syracuse, NY (possibly Albany or Rochester).

 

Anyone with experience with HOU and airlines there?

Almost all the flights out of Hobby(HOU) are on Southwest. Delta has flights to Atlanta and American to Dallas/Ft. Worth, so you could connect through there. I think Jet Blue has a flight to JFK, but not sure on that.

We have flown from HOU to EWR on Southwest. IAH may be bigger but HOU is convenient if Southwest is a choice. We did not encounter any travel delay.

Be sure to arrange/book transfers back to your airport from Galveston too. There are a few options, but not a lot. It can take well over an hour to Hobby and IAH is on the north side of Houston, so quite a bit further.
