Park and Cruise from Intercontinental Doral

Has anyone done the park and cruise from the Intercontinental Doral? Is it safe? Has anyone heard anything about leaving the car?

 

If you did, what was the Uber/Taxi fee you paid to the port?

I have not stayed at this hotel, although there are occasional posts about this hotel on this board. Doral is west of the MIA airport, a long way from the port. Taxi fare should be $35+ and Uber fare about $20+ (you can calculate the expected Uber fare if you plug the hotel address and end point into this estimator: http://uberestimate.com/

We are staying at the Hampton Coconut Grove...they have gated parking for leaving my car, and it seems to be safe in that area. However, we haven't stayed there but are going on recommendations from others about it. They also shuttle you over to the port at no charge...assume I would have to pay a good tip with my luggage!
