Hi Phil,:) I think John told me he was staying on the ship through

this month (don't quote me though). I had sailed 2 weeks before

Heather. I do know he was supposed to disembark earlier but chose

to stay on board.

Maybe someone who is sailing in Jan/Feb can let you know if he

is on the ship.

And Heather's assessment is definitely on target. John Howell is probably

one of the nicest people I have ever met (not just a CD) but overall,

a genuine person.

We sail in February and I will definitely let you know if we have the pleasure of having him on our cruise.

C2C, John thinks the world of ME???? Are you putting me on???:)

Lois, couldn't agree more. I think that's what I liked so much about him ... he seemed so genuine, so real. Not a phony bone in him.

I wish I knew how to keep track of some of these people (my waiter, too;) ), so I could book a cruise based on who's aboard! That would be fantastic.

C2C, did you review your cruise? I'll have to take a look. I thought of you the whole 2 weeks ... so envious was I...

Heather and Steve, thanks for the info as I'm going to be cruising through the canal with Karen come next November. I was wondering if you can hear the narration about the transit in your rooms, or do you need to be out on deck?

We plan to spend a fair amount of time on transit day on our aft balcony, but I know we'd like to hear at least some of the explanation of the process that is provided by the ship.

They had it playig on one of the closed circuit TV channels ... 19 I think... along with a view off the front of the ship.
