Miami Embarkation (Enchantment of the Seas) Questions

Will be sailing Enchantment on January 16. We need to check out of our Miami hotel at 11 and plan on catching Uber to the port. We'd rather be at the port than sit the hotel lobby. What kind of waiting area is there at the port--indoors, lots of seats, or ??? The Empress of the Seas will also join us in port. Does that usually mean fewer shore side staff or anything? We're only gold members of C&A so we won't expect priority boarding. Are cabins ready as soon as boarding takes place or later in the day?

We are gold C&A members and there is a separate line for us. Really helps on these short cruises as a large percentage are first timers. When we checked-in for the Empress, there was no line for Gold at 12:30 PM and the 1st timer line was long, but not bad. Glad there was no line for us though. Cabins are usually ready by 1 PM. Wasn't a problem for us as we boarded at 12:30..

I will also be on that cruise.

Boarding started at 11:15 the last time I was on Enchantment, rooms not ready until 1:30.

There are very few seats in the RCCL Terminals in Miami - mainly stand in queue lines. RCCL now uses a 3rd party company at the pier, so they are able to bring in additional employees when more than one ship is in.

You're timing is perfect. Check out of the hotel at 11, call Uber. By the time you get to the port, drop your bag with the porters, go inside RCL will be already starting to check in passengers. Typically they do allow passengers to start boarding between 11 and 1130. Rooms are never ready until 1 or 1:30. So you go straight up to windjammer for lunch, afterwards you can start exploring the ship. Put your swimsuits in your carry on if you want to hang out by the pool until the room is ready. You may not see your luggage until after muster though.
