Wheelie65 Posted January 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) We'll be booking a balcony cabin on Britannia's Oct/Nov caribbean cruise from Southampton to Barbados. To ensure the best chance of getting sun on the balcony on the way there, is port or starboard the best bet? :) Edited January 15, 2017 by Wheelie65 Change of tense
BrianI Posted January 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2017 As you are sailing west, port side will be facing south most of the time and therefore will get the most sun. Brian

ncm0498 Posted January 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2017 Hi, We are flying to Barbados and cruising back to Southampton and have been allocated C730 which is port side right at the back. I guess we won't get that much sun then on our way back, but what about whilst we are cruising the Islands? thanks :)
simonpjd Posted January 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2017 Brian is completely correct. Sailing west the sun will be on the port side. Not surprisingly coming back you need a starboard side cabin if you want the sun. Obviously around the islands lots of course changes so probably everyone will get some sun on their balconies.
