Cruise company target market questions

Hi, we're new to cruising and curious with different cruise company target market segment. We hope to understand more.

In my country - Singapore, for example, RCCL is famous for "family".

Onboard activities such as rock climbing and dreamwork all proof its targeting families with children. It's also competitively price.

Seabourn and Silversea, easily identify from its high sail price is targeting the ultra-rich.

What about Princess cruise and Costa?

Especially Princess; in my country, Princess usually X2 the price of RCCL given similar itinerary.

Hope anyone can enlighten us.

Thks!

Seabourn and Silversea are definitely for the luxury market, usually older cruisers, not targeting families. Princess is considered a bit more premium than RCCL or Carnival, but still have programs for families with young children. But they do cost more, and they are market driven: If the market will pay double what RCCL charges, then they will charge that much. I can't speak for Costa as they don't market in the US even though they have ships in the Caribbean in the winter. EM

Thks a lot.

We're cruising with RCCL Voyager real soon.

We like to try princess but the price put us off.

However, if the experience is good, we might just squeeze alittle for the more premium princess
