Which Pier for Carnival?

Leaving this weekend on the Carnival Magic. Does anyone know which pier the ship typically docks at? It makes a difference. One pier is downtown and the other you have to take a taxi to get the ferry to Playa deCarmine

Carnival most likely will dock at Puerta Maya

I think it depends on how many ships are in port. We were on Carnival Jan 2016 and docked downtown, but there were 7 ships in port that day, typically Carnival is at the farther dock.

Here is the calendar of ships in Puerta Maya. This port was built by Carnival, so it will primarily host Carnival ships.
