tm76 Posted January 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Hi, I am new to RCCL but have cruised with Disney before. To me the gift section is lacking. With Disney there was a lady (Shirley) who did gift baskets to the ship and it would end up in our stateroom. Has anyone ever had a gift delivered to their stateroom on the first day? Did it arrive okay? What info do you need on it? Thx

Thx If you are speaking of the woman who owns a flower shop near Port Canaveral, that service was discontinued to Royal Caribbean ships years and years ago. You haven't been allowed to send booze and gifts to the ships for a very long time. You can only buy things directly from the cruise line.

That is exactly who I was speaking about. It was okay with Disney a few years back. Do you think its possible to buy more through their customer service number? I'm Canadian and I can't even buy my daughter a gift certificate.
Cruiser-M Posted January 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2017 You can call RCI directly and add onboard credit to her account. We did that for our DD and SIL for their honeymoon cruise. Mary

Mary Oh That's a good idea. Do they leave any sort of notice in your stateroom?
reallyitsmema Posted January 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Oh That's a good idea. Do they leave any sort of notice in your stateroom? Buying OBC is a better idea than buying a gift certificate since your daughter would have to apply the gift certificate prior to sailing. OBC will be on the account and yes, a notice should be in the cabin saying that there is an OBC. We got OBC as a surprise gift from my mom for our anniversary and there was a notice on the desk.
