nanaj1 Posted January 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2017 Is there any shopping in the Grand Turk port. Really don't want to book a tour, just want to look around the port??
Anthomaniac Posted January 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2017 the Port at Grand Turk is pretty small, there is a shopping area, but it is not huge and there are not a ton of shops. the entire island is under 7 miles long and less than half a mile wide. curacao Posted January 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Is there any shopping in the Grand Turk port. Really don't want to book a tour, just want to look around the port?? Margaritaville is just beyond the port stores. Go left ... there is a lot of beach. Lots of shade. Further down the beach is Jack Shack. they have a nice beach too and friendly folks and much quieter than Margaritaville. They also have the Best Jerk Chicken in the Caribbean. Rent a golf cart or vehicle and tour the island. John Glenn has a monument to honor is landing in the sea there. I lived in Curacao for a year, but Grand Turk is my Favorite Island. Feel safe in Grand Turk. I will be there again In March... looking forward to my 6th visit. OH< there is a lot of shopping at the port. Have fun. Rare crewsweeper Posted January 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2017 And if the shops at the port, which tend toward typical tourist/cruiser items, don't interest you there are some more local type shops along the waterfront in Cockburntown, a $5 taxi ride away.
