redbaron70 Posted January 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2017 I have a couple of questions about this type of cabin: 1. Are there footrests for the chairs on the balcony? I'm guessing there are two chairs and a table? 2. How bad is the sofa bed for two people? I'm thinking it's going to be me (Mom) and my 13-year-old daughter in that bed, and I'm a little nervous that it's going to be uncomfortable. Will the steward provide a foam topper if requested? Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
bonvoyagie Posted January 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2017 The typical deck chair set up is two chairs and a table - no foot rests. If you are looking for the best deck set up in a balcony room - look for the balcony cabins on the aft deck 10 they are big enough for actual loungers. The sofa beds are OK at best, yes you can ask for an egg crate foam topper. My MIL slept in the "sofa bed" in a 2br suite on the Dawn and had no problems, the bed seemed to be about the same as the sofa in the main part of the cabin - which is similar to the ones in the balcony/mini suites. BTW a mini suite is only slightly larger than a balcony and only has a nicer bathroom/tub shower arrangement - more like a small penthouse suite.
