Kittybork Posted February 10, 2017 #26 Share Posted February 10, 2017 If you must go during the summer months, try the last week in August. Many schools are beginning their school year around that time in the South. That is when I cruise with my family. That's also full-on hurricane season. DebJ14 Posted February 10, 2017 #27 Share Posted February 10, 2017 Even when schools are supposed to be in session there are loads of kids. The Breeze had 600 kids one week this January and 700 the next. The week we were onboard, precious few of the little darlings were in Camp Carnival, except on port days. Those days they fed a large number of kids while their parents were ashore. So much for family vacations! Young kids were running around with no apparent adult supervision at all hours of the day and night.. The pools and hot tubs were packed with children, including some in diapers. Kids were running barefoot through the Lido restaurant in just their bathing suits. They made the already slippery flooring even more treacherous. We came home, cancelled 2 upcoming Carnival cruises and booked an adults only all inclusive resort.
