What is your sleep schedule when you cruise?

Recommended Posts

I actually sleep better on a cruise than at home.....(as I type this at 4am...)[emoji53][emoji53]

Might be the rocking of the ship....all I know is a get in a level of sleep that I rarely get to....my dreams are crazy and vivid, and I feel so rested when I wake up.....sometimes 11-12 hours

For me, it depends....if I am arriving at some port that I have never called at, I like to be up very early...early enough to see the pilot embark. Then I grab a cup of coffee, at the all-night machine, and head for the forward top deck to watch the sail-in. Sometimes, in the forward obs lounge, if the ship has one. I bring my hand-held GPS, my marine band scanner (with earphone), and my binoculars to enjoy the show in the early morning quietude. Sometimes there are like-minded fellow cruiser's to converse with, sometimes not. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Now if I've "been there, done that"....then I 'sleep-in' to 0700. I sometimes try to get in a noon time, or afternoon nap. I stay up to around midnight, enjoying whatever late night activities that may be going on...
