mulvihill Posted November 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2005 When we return from our B2B on the Liberty Feb. 12/06, our flight time out of FLL was changed to an earlier time. Now we will not be able to make it from the cruise ship to the airport in time to catch it. Our new flight time has us flying out at 5:10 p.m. What is there to do in FLL all day without taking a tour? Is there a place we will be able to store our luggage so we can at least walk around the 17th St. area to pass the time? We have reservations at the Amerisuites when we arrive on Jan. 28th. Would they allow us to return there and store our luggage even though we are not spending another night on the return trip? I thank you in advance for any help you can give us. This is the first time we have flown in and out of FLL and do not know much about the area.
CaptData Posted November 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2005 Ok, not a disaster. You can rent a car and go to a beach or rent a day room in a hotel and relax until it is time to go to the plane.
jimbug Posted November 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2005 There are many hotels in the area that may offer day use rooms or passes. Pick a few "nice" ones (on the beach?) and call to ask. Even if you don't want a room, you might inquire about luggage storage fees and use of the pool or beach facilities. There's also the Seminole Hard Rock Casino...large casino attached to a shopping mall-like area at the Hard Rock Hotel. Additionally, there's Sawgrass Mills, a huge outlet mall. It may be cost-effective to rent a car (Enterprise & Dollar both have shuttles from Port Everglades) for the day, stow your luggage in the car/trunk, and drive to the mall or the casino, or even just the beach. Good luck!
