deedee8787 Posted April 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2017 Has anyone booked a "ghost" guest? I have two rooms with 3 people in each room but I don't like the sleeping situations. By doing 3 and 3 one of my kids will be with the inlaws. 4 and 2 would be ideal but then the rooms are on different floors. I can have side by side rooms if we do 4 and 4. I don't mind spending the $43 pp for the room next door but I would have to put in two ghost guests. Any advice of ghost guests? kerryincork Posted April 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2017 What does your TA say? I think it's strange that MSC forces people to only book rooms for number of people in them. A cruise ship is not like a hotel where there are actual beds for each person, these are beds that drop out of the ceiling or convertible couches? I know MSC wants as many people as they can get on board. But I would guess the average cruiser is a couple and double occupancy would be the norm. Are these cabins going to sail empty if they can't get the 3/4/5 people that the cabin is rated for. I totally understand the family rooms and the 1 & 2 bed room cabins being kept for larger groups as they are so few of them. But there are tons of 3/4 berth cabins. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but I don't understand this policy? Sent from my SM-N910F using Forums mobile app
