Which main dining room had better food? Seven seas or four seasons? Please share your favourite thoughts

Thanks for your input. What made it better? Was it a different menu everyday? I've never sailed with Norwegian so just trying to get some info on what to expect

They will have the same menus. One is more formal than the other, but the food is the same.

The menus in the restaurants will change every day but both of them should have the same menu. It has been our experience that on 'Dress Up or Not Night' one dining room will not allow Jeans and that is usually the aft dining room on NCL ships.

We liked the atmosphere better in Seven Seas. Jeans are allowed in both MDR. Alaska cruise atmosphere is very informal & relaxed. Loved the Sun although it does have a quirky deck plan. Smaller ship than Pearl or Jewel. Great itinerary. We liked the food in MDR just as much as specialty restaurants.

It has been our experience that on 'Dress Up or Not Night' one dining room will not allow Jeans and that is usually the aft dining room on NCL ships.

 

 

Aft dining room is always the "fancier" one on all NCL ships.

 

As others have said, the food in MDRs is exactly the same and at least on all ships since Dawn class comes from the same galley (not sure about the few smaller ships like Sky and Sun).

Head to Seven Seas when you embark for lunch instead of going to the buffet to have a very quiet, uncrowded meal. There were probably less than 20 people there when we ate. Menus are posted daily outside the MDR. We liked breakfast in Great Outdoors as opposed to MDR. MDR breakfast took forever. Plus you get to see the great scenery outdoors.

I'll be on the Sun in july 2018, is the aft of the ship the same as the Spirit? We like sitting there while in the Med...is kinda sloped..it was nice to eat breakfeast there

It would be amazing to have. Breakfast in the great outdoors area, while looking at the glaciers and the Alaska scenery. But won't it be too cold? lol

It helps if you get there early. It is crowded & chilly so bundle up!

I bet, with the wind blowing and everything. I might just settle for just having a coffee or hot chocolate there lol :)
