Hello,

for 2019 I am planing a South Americam cruise with Norwegian Sun and would like to know if all standard balcony cabins have the bed near the bath or if there are also some that have it near the balcony?

Thank you,

Dominik

If you are a member of cruisedeckplans you would be able to sample a variety of the types of cabins on the NCL SUN.

In general - as you open your cabin door you will have on the left or right storage closets cabinets and opposite the bath

facility - moving further into the cabin will be in the bedroom area followed by a living area with a convertible couch bed -

and then the balcony. There maybe an odd situation where the bedroom and living areas are reversed.

When looking at NCL.com and you reach the page with cabin selection look at the lower left corner for "FLOOR PLAN" and

you will get a generic cabin view. When looking at one cabin the next one adjacent to it will be a mirror image.

Cabins in the Aft or Bow (Fwd) may have a different floor plan.

You were asking about balcony cabins:

Inside cabins are either a narrow room in depth with a queen bed in the middle separating into two twins and the closet storage

bath facility inside the cabin door (The bath facility plumbing is always accessible from an interior passageway). A small living

area is between the entry door and bed with a couch converting into additional bedding suitable for children. With NCL cabin

plan there maybe fold down ceiling bunk bed(s) although I have not seen these on the SUN.

The other Inside cabin option is a narrow cell with the depth running sideways - bedroom on one side and bath and closet space

on the opposite (the bath is on a common wall with the outside passageway). These type cabins are best suited for the HC

wheelchair scooter guest with larger entry doors.

For the Ocean View cabin it is like the Inside only no sideways floor plan obviously because of the ocean view window.

Balcony cabins are pretty much the same as the OV except of course the port hole window is now a balcony !

Mini-Suites all have balconies and the interior of the cabin is laid out like a balcony cabin with notable difference when

opening the cabin door the space between the bed and living areas is with more depth and with more closet storage space

and the plus factor of a larger bath (tub) room and a vanity - The SUN mini-suites are the best in the industry and to die for !

NCL.com has some generic photos of the ships cabins -but- as I mentioned at the start - cruisedeckplans site

has pictures and videos of a lot of cabins specific to a ship. It is a membership based site with a one time fee

that permits access to most all the cruise ships of every line. A neat feature is the 'Drag Decks' where you can

move one deck on top of another to see what is above or below your cabin selection.

Cruisedeckplans is something for the serious cruiser on the less expensive side you always have CC here to

have folks commenting on what they like best or the least about a ships features.

"Keep looking and searching here at CC" - Have we reached the end of the internet yet ? - I doubt it ! LOL !

This is a 3 person balcony on the SUN but as you walk in the bathroom was on the right, closet on the left and we had our beds separated, so you see two twins and then the sofa was made into a bed in the evening.

This ship doesn't have the 'wave' design that people are always stressing about where the bed is.
