gac1234 Posted May 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2017 I don't want to buy shore excursions through Holland America. Has anybody used outside excursion companies? We're on a 14 day Alaskan cruise and HA excursions are expensive!
CruiserBruce Posted May 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Welcome to Cruise Critic! Come over to the portion of Cruise Critic devoted to Alaska, located here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55 Each port is covered extensively, with vendors recommended for private tours. cruisePack842 Posted May 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2017 I'm doing HAL late August. Due to iffy weather at that time, I'm not booking anything ahead of time. I'll spend my $50 HAL excursion credit, but other excursions will be done when I get off the ship, at each port. Usually the same exact excursions, except cheaper. And if they're booked up, there are alternatives, like renting a car. This is what I've understood, from reading various forums. So far.
