We are younger but love cruising and I'm sure some of the older crowd will party past us :'):'):')

We do have the drink package as well as 4 specialty restaurants. We will be looking into the spa passes for sure.

...Oh, and it also helps keeps me out of the casino during the day, so I save money:D...

Sadly, it only kept be out for a few hours. I still had the rest of the day and evening to donate my life savings.... LOL.

I have done some massages (usually comped due to high level of donations) and they are fine. You just have to ignore the damn sales pitch for product.

Spas vary greatly ship by ship...Jade wasnt worth it, Dawn was. So check it out before you pay lots for something that may disappoint.

Interesting on how some folks a really hooked on getting a spa pass. Works for them.

On the other hand, we have been on two week cruises, across the pond and never stepped foot in the spa area.

Could be a waste of money for a balcony...our T/A was cool & windy, with only the grey wide ocean to look at day after day? No whales seen, but I kept looking though!;p Check the spa isnt segregated into male & female daunas/jacuzzis if you travel as a hetero couple. The Jade is, with a very small thalasso pool, not big enough for more than 5 or 6 people. The few relaxer heated chairs are nice, but not worth the cost of the 2 week spa pass. IMHO ;p

Have a great time!

I have been on 3 of the away ships and the spas are great! I am doing my first TA this fall and booked the spa mini suite.

To you point of your question, if you are normally a pool person the thermal spa is awesome.

This past February I went on a cruise with two newbies. I tried and tried to convince them to buy the spa passes on the 90 day sale date as they have always sold out. They were no, we will just do the pool. Well day one I made them go on the tour of the thermal spa to show them what I had been talking about. They both fell in love and ended up buying the passes at 50 more each!!! Best decision ever!

Point is investigate and decide and buy the day they go on sale. I do believe once on board and after a quick tour you can always go to guest services and cancel if its not what you thought.

Did I and others say how relaxing it is 😉
