zlato Posted June 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2017 After cruising, wife and I are staying 3 nights in Vancouver. Need to get to Seattle on day 4 with 4 pieces of luggage and two carry-ons. Am familiar with transportation such as busses and trains; however, do not wish to have to deal with loading and unloading luggage nor do I wish to rent a car. Are there any reasonably priced limo services from Vancouver to Seattle? Appreciate any information.

Rare martincath Posted June 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2017 You'll most likely find that it's cheaper to simply fly out of YVR than to take a limo to Seattle.. One of your assumptions is also erroneous - there's no need to load/unload luggage if you take the train (except, obviously, at the start and end of the trip when there are porters available). You preclear US immigration at the station in Vancouver, then make a token border stop for CBP to walk the train with dogs and geiger counters and occasionally hassle 'totally-not-profiled-honest-guvnor' people with an extra question or two. Buses you do have to schlep bags inside at the border for CBP - and while there are occasional reports of helpful drivers giving folks a hand with this, I've never personally seen that and there are definitely no porters. xlxo Posted June 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I'll add... the Amtrak train does not get to the airport. Once downtown.... you need to look for some transfer to get to airport. Quick Shuttle for $60 is my preferred option.
zlato Posted June 23, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Thank you for your responses. After considerable research, we have decided to limo to Seattle. Will hope to enjoy the scenery, stay at Seattle airport hotel and take direct flight home the next morning. Too many possible challenges with connecting flights from Vancouver. More expensive but, hopefully, less stress.
