NCL Jade Panama excursions

We are booked for an 11 day Panama cruise in Feb 2017. I know it is early but I don't see anywhere that once in Gatun Lake, there are excursions through NCL. Is that possible? I hope we can get off and take a ship sponsored excursion. Anyone been on an 11 day? Overall, looking forward to seeing the Canal!!

I'm fairly sure that you will be able to take a ship's tour once you reach Gatun Lake, probably they just have not finalized what tours they will offer. I looked at the itinerary and after Gatun Lake there is a 3 hour stop in Colon. There would not be any reason to stop in Colon if there were not passengers to pick up after completing their tour.

You cannot get off the ship in Gatun lake UNLESS you have a tour booked thru the ship.

Panama controls the travel & it is their rule, not NCL's. I'm sure something will be posted @ some point.

Our trip is in November of this year and all the excursions for the trip are listed for the sailing except for the Gatun lake ones -- I wondered if there are sailings NCL doesn't offer any excursion on Gatun Lake..we do have a short stop in Colon. It is puzzling that the excursions for all others ports are listed.

Bill and thespiritmovesme have such great information about Panama and NCL! Again it was verified that there will be some excursions at Gatun Lake but they will be posted closer to the time of the cruise! Thanks for everyone's information!
