  1. Oysters Rockefeller are baked. They are NOT served raw. That being said, my oysters Rockefeller at Cagney's recently were very disappointing because they seemed to be absent oysters, baked or otherwise.
  2. I am just off he Sun after a 19 day TA. Our menus look the same as he ones posted by BirdTravels. Our wine steward said they were getting new menus when we departed in Miami. I will be on the Pearl come Day. I'll let you know if they did.
  3. Whether you are for or against the bubble blowing in principle, there are environmentally friendly bubble solutions on the market for those who care about that side of the issue.
  4. It looks like the usual suspects. I am not savvy enough to attach a photo but if you Google NCL Starbucks menu, you can find one posted.
  5. I am sitting on the Sun now, in the Atrium Cafe, deck 5, drinking a White Chocolate Mocha, paid for with my Starbucks/FAS+ package. It clearly says Starbucks on the cup but not on the signage. It is a Starbucks!
  6. To decide if they are "worth it" to you, go to NCL & look at the sample menus for the up charge venues available on Dawn & see if you are even interested in what is offered. The FAS can be used in any of the up charge restaurants except for a Seafood Platter in Raw Bar but the rules vary. The best answer is to read the FAQs for the FAS dining package.
  7. All of my various confirmations for my next 3 NCL cruises come from "...Miami.pdf" And none of them leave out of Miami. That is where NCL's corporate headquarters are. A very strange story.
  8. It is available Mon.- Fri at 10:30 AM April-December.
  9. As I follow some of the NCL threads & the various complaints about how things use to be compared to how they are now, I can't help but think this: in 15 more days, the hardest part of my day will be deciding what to drink & what to eat!! No matter how much cruising has changed PC (post-Covid), I can still look forward to that!🍸🍤🍰

  11. Actually, NCL does allow you to bring wine on board. There is a corkage fee if you do not have the beverage package. See their FAQs re the policy.
  12. If you are arriving on Sunday, especially Easter Sunday, the shops in Hamilton may not be opened & there may be less transportation available.
  13. A 4 gallon trash bag-bathroom trash can size- works quite well.
  14. We did a Vespa Sidecar tour in 2019 that we saw on Tripadvisor. It was great fun. My DH rode behind the driver & I rode in the sidecar. Other tourists were taking photos of us. We were able to go down narrow streets where cars & busses couldn't. We made a few scenic stops but not the Vatican or the Colosseum. There are YouTube videos of it. You get commentary thru the helmets. We felt very safe.
  15. Interestingly, for an upcoming cruise on the Sun with my DH, my shareholders' benefit was split between us. (We have different last names.) On an upcoming cruise on the Pearl with a female friend, my benefit was applied only in my name.
  16. I have a good relationship with an NCL PCC. He responds to my emails & phone calls well within a reasonable time frame.
  17. In 2019, we flew direct nonstop from Charlotte to Rome with NCL BOGO. We did a 2 day deviation. Our return flight was not so good-Rome to Amsterdam to Atlanta to Charlotte. We were very delayed in Atlanta due to weather & very late getting to Charlotte. We wound up staying in Charlotte overnight as we had another hour to drive home & we were exhausted & the weather was bad. Would we do it again? Yes, we did & we will. We realize that they aren't always the ideal flights but they are the most affordable & often the ones we would have chosen as our choices from Charlotte are often limited.
  18. I'd rather have the foie gras than the steak tho I do like steak. I can get steak any day but not foie gras.
  19. A basic pedicure around $60 In 2022.
  20. When we have used NCL air for international flights we have had a free checked bag each & on a recent TA, on returning home from Miami, we had free checked bags thru our AA benefits or we would have had to pay.
  21. I also had someone steal my plain, simple magnet on an NCL cruise. And also a very special one made for our specific cruise on another NCL cruise. I sort of understand the special one but not the plain one. On one cruise, I had a dry eraser board hanging on my door with a specific message re "Today is..." along the lines of "National Hot Dog Day" or such. No one ever bothered it. Some said they came by our hall just to see what "day" it was.
  22. My DH & friends stayed there in 2019. NCL shuttled us airport to hotel to port as part of the package. I agree with Eric S re his + and - . We did not feel unsafe & we walked around in the area. We found some goid restaurants within walking distance. The rooftop bar was a big +. We stayed for 2 nights. A/C not an issue as it was Nov.
  23. We booked Marriott Lisbon thru NCL for our April TA. There was another offered but we chose Marriott.
  24. I use to a work in a hospital. We had to ask about allergies. I worked on a children's unit. My patient stated he was allergic to " hamburgers". I couldn't resist going into the McDonald's jingle about "2 all beef patties, special sauce,...sesame seed bun."
  25. We are using NCL BOGO for our April 2 cruise on the Sun with a one day deviation pre-cruise. We are quite pleased with our flights as we can rarely fly anywhere internationally without a layover somewhere. Our return is not ideal, but not horrid, considering what we paid for the air package. We can work around the return flight. This will be our third BOGO flight with NCL. We are ever hopeful.
