Poconolady Posted July 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Wondering if anyone who has cruised the Baltic this summer can verify if Celebrity is providing a shuttle to town in Copenhagen? Also, if you have any any other helpful tips or suggestions concerning this itinerary I would love to hear them! Thanks in advance Sent from my iPad using Forums
iancb Posted July 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2017 We did the Baltic cruise this June and the shuttle bus was $7 one way and $14 return. Tickets could be bought on board the ship or on the pier.
HelenREMfan Posted July 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2017 When we did the Baltic cruise on the Eclipse we formed a group of 8 on our roll call and used SPB tours for a wonderful 2 days in St Petersburg. We tailored the tour to our requirements with help and advice from the company and it all worked very very well. A big bonus was the fact that our super comfy minibus had free wifi! So we could hop on the Internet whilst travelling from venue to venue. Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable - we had early entry to the Hermitage, visited the Palace where Rasputin met his end and .... a highlight was a trip down onto the subway....one escalator journey took 3 minutes! Talinn - you can easily do the walk into the town from the dock. Used the ship's tours for Stockholm and Copenhagen but believe that SPB do tours there as well. genduba Posted July 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2017 Hi Yes there is a shuttle as iancb says but a much cheaper option is to get the number 26 bus. Walk to the end of the dock, turn right under the bridge and you will see the yellow stop sign. It cost with this company48 Krone (£5.63/$7.37) for 2 into the city and they run every 10 minutes or so. We got off right outside Tivoli gardens. Just pay the driver. We also booked a free walking tour with this company http://www.neweuropetours.eu/copenhagen/en/home# Fantastic 3 hours, tip the guide what you feel it's worth at the end.
